Welcome to the first International Symposium on Parallel Computing and Distributed Systems (PCDS2024)! We are excited to announce that the conference will be held on September 21-22, 2024 in Singapore. In today's rapidly advancing landscape of computer science, engineering, and society, the exploration of novel approaches for modeling, designing, analyzing, evaluating, and programming future parallel and distributed computing systems and applications has become paramount. Its evolution occurs across many different topic areas in computer science, including algorithms, computer architecture, networks, operating systems, and software engineering, and has always been built on the fundamental systems concepts, such as concurrency, mutual exclusion, consistency in state/memory manipulation, message-passing, and shared-memory models. PCDS2024 aims to serve as a premier platform for researchers, professionals, and enthusiasts to come together and exchange their cutting-edge research, insights, and experiences in the realm of distributed parallel computing. Through collaboration and discussion, we seek to address the challenges and seize the opportunities presented in this critical field. We cordially invite you to be a part of PCDS2024 by submitting your valuable contributions. The event program will feature captivating invited talks, contributed papers, engaging oral communications, and enlightening industrial sessions. As an official conference supported by IEEE, PCDS2024 has been listed on the official website of IEEE with the ID 61776. All accepted papers after proper registration and presentation will be included in PCDS Conference Proceedings which will be submitted to IEEE Xplore. The proceedings will be reviewed by the IEEE Conference Publication Program for IEEE Xplore, Ei Compendex and Scopus.
